Marian Shuler-Holladay, DVM Shuler Veterinary Clinic

Dr. K.C. Shuler expanded his veterinary business of Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital by building Shuler Veterinary Clinic in 1992. His son, Kevin and Kevin’s wife, Laura, became veterinarians and took over both practices in 2005 when K.C. retired.

In the spring of 2005, cousin Dr. Marian Shuler Holladay, a Georgia graduate, was brought in to run Shuler Veterinary Clinic.  A native of Mt Pleasant, she graduated from University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.    Dr. Shuler Holladay practices both medicine and surgery of small animals, and has a special interest in rehabilitation and physical therapy.  When not at the veterinary clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, singing, and taking advantage of the coastal life Charleston has to offer.

Kristine of Shuler Veterinary Clinic

Kristine, SVC Office Manager

Kristine is the Office Manager at Shuler Veterinary Clinic.  She and her husband, Greg, moved to Mt Pleasant in December 1996 from Dix Hills, Long Island NY.  They quickly fell in love with Charleston!  Kristine and Greg moved here with 3 cats and have ”accquired” many more since Kristine started working with the Shuler family in February 1997.  They have several special needs kitties at home.  Kramden is 13 years old and has numerous heart problems.  Monty is 14 1/2, diabetic and also suffers from heart problems.  He has gone blind over the years but seems to be trucking along nicely!  Shroom, 11 years old, was adopted after being abandoned at Pet Keepers.  After having a kidney removed a few years ago she is still fat and sassy!  Hendrix is the old lady cat at 19 years old but still acts like a kitten.  Martin was found as stray and is now 4 years old.  Then there is Bunny.  She is disliked by all the others and lives a happy life of solitude in the bedroom.  Can’t forget Lil Dude Man and Carrot, the 2 feral cats they have been feeding for the past year.  She is often, lovingly, called the cat lady!  Aside from cat wrangling, Kristine is a work out junkie!  She is a daily visitor at the gym and loves riding her bike.  At 42 she says she is in the best shape of her life and couldn’t be happier!
