Alex is very excited and honored to be one of the newest members of the Shuler Veterinary Clinic family! Originating from Virginia, Alex and her family have moved to numerous locations with her fathers position as an engineer but none have felt quite like home like Charleston has. Growing up it was not uncommon for Alex and her family to share there love with numerous fur babies. That love has translated into a passion to help both the four legged friends of the area and there families. Alex started her journey in veterinary medicine as a Technical Assistant at Veterinary Specialty Care but after sometime decided that she needed to take a step back from the fast pace of the Emergency Care Unit and focusing on General Practice.
When Alex isn’t at the hospital, she is an also a full time actress/musical theater performer in the area. She has been performing in Charleston for the last 12 years and is currently a member of the Village Repertory Ensemble Company and Black Fedora Comedy Troop. Fun fact, Alex actually met her now fiancé performing in a show together in 2017! They have two sweet fur babies of their own, a Lab/Chow Mix named Bear and a “slim-thick” cat named Fletcher.
